The Electronic Multi-Shot (EMS) is an advanced tool used to measure and record wellbore deviation from the vertical path. In other words, this tool helps engineers determine the precise 3D path of a drilled well underground. The tool utilizes electronic sensors to measure the inclination and azimuth angles at various points within the well. Unlike Single-Shot tools, which only take one measurement at each stop, Multi-Shot tools can continuously or periodically record multiple measurements while moving the tool up or down within the well.
